When we put the boat in the water after 6 months on the hard in Antigua the engine wouldn't start (fixed by removing and cleaning the bendix on the starter) and the stop solenoid wouldn't stop anything. Stop lever worked just fine. Is there any fix short of removing the solenoid? I'll test the switch...

I was wondering if anyone has been able to download the original Kubota workshop manuals online, along with Kubota part numbers, this would be most usefull!

Stanley, The Beta 75 calls for a Wix 33390 / 33393 fuel filter at the engine. In researching this filter, I see it listed at 10 microns. Is this correct or should a filter in the 2-3 micron range be used at the engine. This is assuming a primary filter of 10 microns has been installed prior to the filter o...

The spec info in my BV-1505 manual lists the antifreeze capacity as 7 liters.How accurate is this figure?I changed the antifreeze this weekend and was able to get about 7 liters including the reservoir which holds about half a gallon.Did I get all the old antifreeze?Should I have warmed the engine pr...

I just purchaced a Morris Leigh sailboat (30") 10,000# displacement full keel. It needs repowering soon. Currently has a Westerbeke W-13 Diesel. Weight of engine/trans about 298 lbs. Would not want to go any heavier than that. As to props not sure I would like the drag of a 3-blade on sailing p...
