The electric stop on my Beta 16 recently started to require longer pushes of the button for the engine to stop. This weekend it seems to have completely stopped working. How do I troubleshoot the system to determine if it is the solenoid, the button, or something in between?

Can just the forward end of the heat exchanger be removed for cleaning and replacement of the o rings? I can't locate the drain for coolant on my Beta 28. Where is it when facing the front of the engine? Jim

We just installed a new Beta 14 in a small sailboat; it is hard to start initially but runs fine once it starts. Mechanic thinks there is air in the fuel line somewhere, and once this gets purged the engine runs fine. My fuel tank sits below the engine, and the bottom of the tank is almost 30 below the manua...

During the sea trial for my new Beta 14, the installers say they could only get the engine up to 3200rpm. The manual says it should go to 3600rpm. Is 3200 over-burdening the engine? Installers say 90% is good enough... is it? And is my warranty still good with max RPMs only at 90%?

Looking at a Pacific Seacraft 25, for my possible purchase, with YSM8 that needs replacement. Is there a suitable Beta replacement? Any experience with these boats? 5400 lb displacement, full keel, 21 lwl, 3.3 ft draft. Thanks for your time! Butch
