I have a 1505 with the 100 amp alternator that I am trying to connect a Balmar ARS-5 regulator to- has anyone connected up a Balmar regulator to the 100 amp alternator, and if so, which terminal is the field terminal? Thanks!
This has been done many times before. I always advise people to take the alternator and regulator and the instructions for the regulator to someone who specialises in alternators, starters and charging systems. These fine folk generally have no trouble getting the alternator and regulator working together whereas amateurs tent to let the smoke out.
If you find out I would love to know as well. I have the 1505 with 100 mp alternator and I'm trying to find out how how to disable the field using a contact on my battery selector switch..
