The original engine is a 25 hp greymarine 4-91 sea scout, boat weighs 8400 and a 22 ft water line, the greymarine seems like too much engine as the boat will do six knots at little more than 1/3 throttle
Hello, I used to have a Bristol 27 with the Beta 14 and that was actually more than the boat needed. You could use the Beta 14 which should be just right or go one size larger to the Beta 16 for that extra reserve. Regards, Stanley
