Balmar Regulator on a 40A alternator

I am repowering my Pearson 28 and want to add an external Balmar charging regulator.  Is this possible with the stock 40 amp alternator that came with my engine?  If so is there a wiring diagram available for my alternator?

I am sure that it is possible to use a Balmar regulator on these Denso altenators but I have not been asked this before.

I have attached a photo on the sense wire that is used for the Adverc controller that we generally supply as an external controller for the Denso alternators. This is the green wire in photo. You can read about the Adverc controllers here http://www.adverc.co.uk/product/12

I have not been able to attach the pdf of the alternator to this forum page. Please email me directly and I'll be able to attach it to a regular email.
