Exhaust size...Beta 16

I realize that this topic is not new- but I ask based upon recommendations by local folks (who recommend 1 5/8").  Is 1 5/8 inch ID exhaust hose acceptable for the Beta 16 for a run of about 10 feet from engine to hull discharge?  The smaller (vs 2") size would be more convenient but obviously I do not want to compromise performance.  Thanks again. Hello Paul,

Provided that the waterlift muffler is sized correctly, the 1 5/8" exhaust hose would be just adequate for a 10' run.
