Injector Pump Removal and servicing

Stanley,

Since my engine has been out of service for 3 plus years you have recommended pulling the injector pump and having it serviced. Please describe how to do this and what special tools will be needed. Engine details are as follows: Engine Type- BV 1505 EPA,Engine No. - 5G3827, Woc_ K16007. Also since I live in Pensacola FL there is no injector servicing company nearby. I assume the engine is a KUBOTA not sure what type or SERno. Could it be serviced by a licensed Kubota dealer?

Best regards,

Hello Terry,

The only tools needed for this job are standard mechanics issue but if you have not done this before and don't have a workshop manual, I advise you to employ a mechanic who has a manual or is conversant with these engines. There are some springs that are connected to the pump controls and can either be stretched or possible dropped into the crankcase if you are not careful.

Your engine is a tier 2 Kubota V1505. The serial number is 5G3827 and the Beta Marine works order card number is K16007.

The injection pump can be serviced at a Kubota engine or tractor dealer. If they don't have their own fuel shop, they will send it out to one. The Large Kubota distributors all have their own fuel shop.

Regards, Stanley
