Port for Water Temp Sensor on a 38

I put in a 38 and had to use the ABVW panel but I still want a water temp gage.   I'm looking for a second port to mount the temp sensor since I still want to keep the alarm on the ABVW panel active but can't find a second port.   I'm thinking of putting a "T" at the calorifier output port and adding the new sensor there.   Any other suggestions or is there a port I've missed?  Thanks!

What you are proposing will work just fine. Just put the temp sender as close to the back of the cylinder head as possible.
