i have a beta 60 with a supplied taco An engine board. Over a period of time the taco has started playing up an not working an then working again. The hour meter has always worked.

now tho taco An engine hour meter have stopped completely, I have checked the following.

continuity of blue black wire from alternator to taco all ok 

all  connections

voltage at rear of alternator W to earth no voltage. ????

alternator is charging batteries etc ok check with multimeter at around 13.5 plus volts.

 

anyideas is it just a straight alternator fault.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The W terminal should show between 6 and 9 V AC, not DC,

Is this boat plugged into shore power with a battery charger on when the boat is not in use?
