Beta 50 idle rpm?

Am just starting the testing of the new Beta 50. Test spec idle rpm was 857. My teleflex cable appears to be adjusted correctly though my idle rpm is around 1180. What should the idle rpm be and what steps might I try to correctly adjust it? Thanks

I suggest that you disconnect the throttle cable from the engine.
Then start the engine and just lightly hold your finger on the speed control lever in the idle position.
I suspect that you will find that the engine then idles correctly. If this is so, then adjust the cable correctly.

If the above does not change things and the tach still shows a high speed, then the tach must be adjusted. Please consult with your dealer for this.

Disconnected the cable as suggested and rpm is still close to 1200. I will seek out a qualified resource.  Thanks

Tested the rpm with a laser tachometer meter and it was spot on. Tried to access the VDO tach configuration to adjust the needle with the RPM, but couldn'nt get past the Pulse configuration screen. Could I get the default setting pulses per revolution for the 70 amp alternator on the Beta 50? Thanks

The pulse setting that you need is 13.90.
