Kubota recommends coolant that does not contain Nitrates, Nitrites, Silicants or Borates. As this coolant contains Nitrites and Silicates, it is not recommended.

We recommend 'Rotella ELC NF' coolant in a 50/50 concentration for all Beta/Kubota products.

- also a question about coolant, i have a beta 14 engine in my sailboat:
after the previous owner there was some corrosion when i drained and changed the coolant. Probably due to a high percentage of water in the solution. Should i use some coolant with extra anti-corrosion now, what du you recommend?

Hello Markus,

I recommend you flush the block with clean water and use the Rotella ELC NF coolant in a 50/50 ratio.

Change the coolant after a couple of seasons.
