Hi, We have the Beta 38 hp Marine engine. It has about 650 hours on it. We would like to adjust the idle to about 900 to 1000 rpm. I thought I read that the idle should be about 1000 rpm, to start the motor at 1000 rmp. We start it at about 800 rpm but it vibrates we think too much so we almost always up the idle to 1...

Its that time of year. Is fogging of the engine recommended for winter storage in Maine? and if so what is the procedure? thanks

hey you all was wondering if anyone else ran into this.. engine ran well all season..used several days ago no issues on the way out however turned on hour later ...light panel did not light up very faint beep at panel .. nothing when key turned on.. batteries on shore charge and fully charged.. any ide...

Hi, We have a Beta 38 hp engine with about 640 hours on it. We changed out the zinc in Zihuatanejo, Mexico and then sailed and motored back up to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and the bolt that holds the zinc in leaked the whole way. Not bad but enough to drool salt water onto the engine and motor mount. Not good....
