I was wondering if the oil dip stick on a BV2203 can be moved. It is currently located by the motor mount under the alternator. This location is very difficult to get to for me. In the manual it indicates the dipstick on the opposite side between the fuel filter and the oil filter. This location would put the dipstick in a very advantages position for me. If it is possible..should I use a new dipstick and tube(in addition to the one already there?
There is a 2nd position for the dipstick on the other side of the engine. There is a rubber plug that you can prise out and you can then fit the standard short Kubota dipstick. We have these dipsticks in stock. Please provide your engine Woc# so that we can provide the correct dipstick.
This plug will be on the side of the block about an inch aft of the starboard forward mount.
