split charge installation

Stanley,
I ordered the split charge with my engine and received it not installed. It has no mounting hardware, just the unit itself. No installation instructions. It came in a bubble-pack envelope. Can you walk-me thru step-by-step the installation process and provide details on how it mounts, how it is supposed to work, etc? For close to $400 I expected it mounted and operational. Does Beta cover the cost of installation? Thanks, Mark "BelleFiore".

Hello Mark,

When you ordered your engine, you opted to accept the one that was on display at the Seattle Boat Show as this saved you $400 in freight. The split charge system was not on that engine and was sent along after you already had the engine.

The unit is designed to fit on a bulkhead and be wired to the engine as per the wiring diagram on page 59 of your owners manual. I suggest that you contact Larry at NW Sailors if you are unsure how to connect it. If you wish to return it, you may return it to Beta Marine in NC for a full refund.

Stanley

Stanley,I've got no problems installing it, just want to know how it mounts, as there were no mounting bolts with it and it is unclear how it attaches to the block. I'm a fan of the Beta engine, just need your expertise to help get it operational. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you for your time.  Mark

Thanks,
Stanley
