I am looking to replace my Isuzu 2KC1 engine that is mated to a volvo saildrive 110S. I am considering the Beta Marine 25 hp engine. I understand that this engine can be bought with the appropriate adaptor plate to fit the saildrivve. Does it matter which way the engine shaft rotates at the input side of the saildrive?
Next question: Which mechanical drawing to I use to figure out what changes I would have to make to the engine bed?
Are there any other issues I should be considering if I decide to install this engine?
