Fuel Leak

I put a new oil pad under my 2005 1005 with 200 hours on it after winterization.  Today I noticed a fair amount of fuel on the pad and while I could not find the source of the leak there was some fuel pooled at the top of the engine at the three points were the fuel enters the cylinders.

Nothing seemed wrong so I need some suggestions as to where the fuel could be coming from.

Thanks.

The most likely cause for this is the rubber hose that connects the front of the return line to the injection pump. This is the line that connects the 3 injectors and eventually returns excess fuel to the fuel tank. Carefully check with a clean piece of paper towel and dab the towel on to the return line starting at the top. Where the towel shows wetness you will have found your leak. It may be a loose clamp or a loose nut on the return line.

Stanley, your theory was correct.  The clip holding the tube that goes into the injector is loose.  What is the best clamp to secure it with?  A standard hose clamp?

Thanks.

I like the Scandvik stainless mini hose clamps. These have a solid band which wont cut into the fuel hose like the standard clamps.
