My Beta 60 has 8mm olive type connections. which is the best method for connecting flexible fuel hose to these fittings?

Hello Zoe and welcome to the forum,
This is an easy one. Get about 3" of 5/16" copper tube, cut it in half, insert each seperate piece onto the compression fitting and tighten the nut. Now you have a good surface to fit your rubber hose to.
The alternative is to get a 5/16" hose barb with 1/4" BSP pipe thread.
