I have a D722 with 4600 Hours, runs fine. The shop manual indicates that the injectors be tested every 1000 hours. I have never done so. Any recommendation, comments?
It is a simple matter to remove the injectors and have them pop tested at an injection shop. If they need adjusting or new tips, the shop will do this.
It is wise to have them checked occasionally to avoid an unplanned engine stoppage.
