Repowering a Pearson 323

I am contemplating re powering my Pearson 323. The original engine is a Volvo MD 11C. It is backwards with a V drive. It would be useful if the replacement could have access to filters impellers etc near the rear of the engine as replacing an impeller from inside the ****pit locker would be a challenge!Would love to hear from any other Pearson 323 owners who repowered with a Beta. What model they used and who installed it.

The boat is in CT. I Would also welcome comments from dealers who have done this and any referrals to owners who had you do the job.

Hello Sailorlady,

Welcome to the forum.

We have provided repower engines for quite a few Pearson 323's over the years and I would be happy to discuss the particulars with you directly.

The Beta 25 with a ZF 15 MIV V-drive transmission replaces your current MD11C. Engine beds will need to be modified a bit and a high rise exhaust elbow can be used to direct the exhaust back towards the stern of the vessel.

Give me a call or e-mail for current pricing. I most likely have photos that I can send you.
