coolant system flush or drain?

Is it ok to just drain the coolant or should the system be flushed also? If so do you have a preferred way of flushing>

This all depends on the age of the anti freeze, how rich the mixture is and how much the engine has been run.

2 years, 50%, 600 or so hours.

Drain the coolant
remove the tube stack and clean the crud from around it.
then refit the tube stack with new O rings and then fill the cooling system.
