After sailing, engine cut off. Bleeding air seemed to resolve.

I have a Beta 16 with a little over 100 hours on it. This season, I launched and the motor ran fine. I motored down a river for over an hour to my mooring location. I also ran the engine in the harbor to go to the dock, etc. I took the boat out to sail and the engine ran fine on the way out. After a few hours of sailing and heeling, I returned to the mouth of the harbor with a rolling, following sea. I started the engine and it ran for a while. Then, it cut out. It restarted and it stopped again. It seemed like the behavior that I experience after changing the fuel filters and need to bleed air from the system. I went below and loosened the nut above the fuel filter and pumped the primer until fuel came out. I then was able to run the engine to get back to the mooring. My fuel tank is between 1/4 and 1/2 full. Any suggestions for next steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I suspect that as the fuel level is low, you may have sucked up some air which is what stopped the engine. Also check the pick up tube in the tank for a crack.

It is always better to keep the tank full, especially over winter storage as this also limits to possibility of condensation (water) forming in the tank.
