Sealant for Coolant Fitting
(Preview)
The coolant fitting on the bottom of the heat exchanger on my Beta 38 was quite loose, though not leaking. Now reconnecting everything after lifting the engine, any special thread sealant to use on these fittings? Would some basic, teflon-loaded, temperature-rated pipe sealant be fine?

Heat exchanger end caps
(Preview)

Thanks for your help.

The cap was quite tightly snugged down and there has never been any dripping or other obvious evide...

Plastic gooseneck exhaust
(Preview)
Im repowering a Falmouth Cutter 22 (sailboat) with very limited space in the engine compartment. Running proper exhaust hose with a loop at transom is a challenge. I see that Beta Marine sells a plastic gooseneck exhaust that looks like it would be just the trick for my boat, but my mechanic who is do...
